To Rb or not to Rb
chicken chemokine can help heal wounds by inducing fibroblasts to become myofibroblasts, according to results reported by Feugate et al. on page 161. The contractile myofibroblasts help close the wound by pulling together the necessary cells and matrix. Chemokines are better known for their activities in the immune system, but increased production of chicken chemotactic and angiogenic factor (c...
متن کامل[Rb(18-crown-6)][Rb([2.2.2]-cryptand)]Rb2Sn9·5NH3
The crystal structure of the title compound, poly[[(4,7,13,16,21,24-hexa-oxa-1,10-diaza-bicyclo-[8.8.8]hexa-cosa-ne)rubidium] [[(1,4,7,10,13,16-hexa-oxacyclo-octa-deca-ne)rubidium]di-μ-rubidium-μ-nona-stannide] penta-ammonia], {[Rb(C(18)H(36)N(2)O(6))][Rb(3)Sn(9)(C(12)H(24)O(6))C(12)H(24)O(6))]·5NH(3)}(n) represents the first ammoniate of a Zintl anion together with two different chelating subs...
متن کاملSympathetic cooling of 85 Rb and 87 Rb
We demonstrate sympathetic cooling between magnetically trapped 85Rb and 87Rb atoms. Up to 6!106 85Rb atoms are cooled via elastic collisions with a reservoir of 8!108 87Rb atoms. The temperature of the binary atomic ensemble is adjusted by using radio-frequency evaporation of 87Rb. Temperatures as low as T "100 nK have been realized in the binary ensemble. Through a cross-dimensional mixing ap...
متن کاملRb in supergravity models
We compute the supersymmetric contribution to Rb ≡ Γ(Z → bb̄)/Γ(Z → hadrons) in a variety of supergravity models. We find R b <∼ 0.0004, which does not shift significantly the Standard Model prediction (R b = 0.2162 for mt = 160GeV). An improvement in experimental precision by a factor of four would be required to be sensitive to such an effect. CERN-TH.7553/95 CTP-TAMU-67/94 ACT-24/94 January 1...
